The municipality has executed several impactful development projects. One major initiative is the expansion of educational infrastructure, with the construction of a 12-unit classroom block at Bechem Presby SHS and additional 6-unit blocks in Breme, New Brosankro, and Achiase to address congestion and boost access to learning. Another critical intervention involves the upgrading of key road networks, including the Techimantia–Derma–Asuoso stretch and ongoing work on the Bechem–Techimantia–Akumadan link spanning 40.4 kilometers, along with 6.9 kilometers of town roads in Bechem.
These upgrades are expected to improve mobility and stimulate trade. The health sector has also seen investment through the expansion of CHPS compounds in rural areas and targeted support for both Bechem Government Hospital and Techimantia Hospital, particularly in maternal health and NHIS enrollment. To complement these efforts, the Assembly has implemented water and sanitation improvements such as piped systems in Bechem, Brosankro, and Derma, the provision of over 160 boreholes and 11 hand-dug wells, and the construction of public toilet facilities to promote hygiene and waste management.
