Kpando Municipal Renewal
Kpando Municipality, one of the oldest administrative districts in the Volta Region, is strategically located near Lake Volta and shares borders with Biakoye, Afadzato South, and North Dayi Districts. With a population of over 58,000 and Kpando as its capital, the municipality is known for its rich cultural heritage, agricultural productivity, and growing urban infrastructure.
Four key development projects include:
1. Construction of 40 Lockable Stores at Kpando-Torkor Market – A commercial infrastructure upgrade to support traders and boost local commerce.
2. Ongoing Construction of 6-Unit Classroom Blocks – Educational infrastructure expansion at Gabi Primary and JHS to improve access and learning conditions.
3. Ambulance Service Bay and Health Equipment Supply – Strengthening emergency response and healthcare delivery across the municipality.
4. Reshaping of Township Roads and Cemetery Access Routes – Road rehabilitation projects including the Aziave Cemetery Road under the DRIP initiative.
Hon. Donkor’s administration is also engaging with Ghana Water Company to address water supply challenges and leading sanitation campaigns with support from Zoomlion and local prison services. His leadership is grounded in collaboration, transparency, and a commitment to community-driven development.
