Among the district’s flagship initiatives is the rehabilitation of the Hemang Market, which includes the construction of six-unit market sheds in Mfuom to boost local commerce and improve trading conditions. In education, the Assembly has completed classroom blocks in Pepekrom, Nyameni, and Ayedwe, while also securing school lands from encroachment to protect future expansion.
Health infrastructure has expanded with the completion of CHPS compounds in Twepease and Adiyaw, alongside nurses’ quarters in Wawase to strengthen primary healthcare delivery. In agriculture, over 5,000 oil palm seedlings have been distributed under the PERD and PFJ programs, with mapped low-lying lands now earmarked for rice production to enhance food security and farmer livelihoods.
With renewed leadership and a focused development agenda, Hemang Lower Denkyira is positioning itself as a district of opportunity, resilience, and inclusive progress.
