Ejura Sekyedumase: Advancing Infrastructure Through Local Governance”
Sekyedumase Municipal District is one of forty-three administrative districts in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. It was officially established as a standard district assembly in 1988, following its formation from parts of the former Sekyere and Offinso District Councils.
On 28 June 2012, the district was elevated to a municipal district assembly, recognizing its growing administrative role and infrastructural development. Located in the northern part of the Ashanti Region, the municipality has Ejura as its capital town, serving as the center of governance and public activity.
The district is led by Hon. Rafiu Adam Seidu, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE). Who has approved a few months ago by the Assembly.
Ejura Sekyedumase has seen notable development initiatives, including the construction of a modern theater and maternity block at the municipal hospital, a 3-unit classroom block in Ajamasu and Fameshebabe communities, a 63-seater water closet toilet facility to improve sanitation, and market infrastructure upgrades under the GrEEn Project, which has boosted local commerce and climate-resilient growth.
