His administration is built on principles of teamwork, transparency, and inclusive governance. Builsa North Municipal District

The Builsa North Municipal Assembly, located in the Upper East Region of Ghana, was elevated to municipal status in 2020 under Legislative Instrument 2422. With Sandema as its administrative capital, the municipality spans approximately 824 square kilometers and comprises 98 communities. It shares boundaries with Kassena-Nankana West to the north, Sissala East to the west, Kassena-Nankana East to the east, and Builsa South to the south. The population stands at 56,571, with a nearly equal distribution between males and females.

The municipality’s economy is predominantly agrarian, with over 70% of residents engaged in farming activities. Major crops include maize, rice, groundnut, millet, and cowpea, alongside livestock such as cattle, sheep, and goats. Despite its agricultural potential, the area faces challenges such as poor road networks, limited access to healthcare, and inadequate infrastructure in education and sanitation.

In response to these development gaps, the Assembly has initiated several key projects:

One of the most impactful is the Gulf of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion (SOCO) Project, under which the municipality received GH¢4.6 million for infrastructure upgrades. This includes the construction of three ultra-modern CHPS compounds in Zaring, Kadema, and Yemonsa. Each facility will feature consulting rooms, delivery suites, mechanized boreholes, and staff accommodation, aiming to improve healthcare access in underserved communities.

Another notable initiative is the distribution of IT equipment to departments, enhancing administrative efficiency and digital service delivery. This aligns with the Assembly’s broader goal of modernizing operations and improving transparency.

The municipality also launched a tree restoration campaign, promoting agroforestry and environmental sustainability. Seedlings were distributed to schools and community groups, with civic education integrated to encourage long-term ecological stewardship.

In the education sector, the Assembly recognized outstanding teachers with laptop donations, reinforcing its commitment to quality teaching and learning outcomes. These projects reflect a strategic shift toward inclusive development, improved service delivery, and community empowerment.

On April 28, 2025, Hon. Ansoabayie convened a strategic meeting with departmental heads to chart a development roadmap. Discussions centered on infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment. He listened attentively to concerns about staffing shortages and resource gaps, committing to sustainable solutions.

Environmental stewardship has become a hallmark of his leadership, with the Tree for Life Restoration Initiative gaining momentum. His digital engagement—particularly through TikTok—has made municipal updates more accessible, especially to younger residents.

In partnership with MP James Agalga, Hon. Ansoabayie supported the donation of medical equipment worth GH¢153,000 to Sandema Hospital, reinforcing his commitment to healthcare advocacy and service delivery.
His leadership blends traditional governance values with modern public engagement, positioning Builsa North for a more responsive and forward-looking future.
