Hon. Benjamin Yinkah, appointed in March 2025, serves as the District Chief Executive for Asunafo South. His leadership is grounded in grassroots engagement, prudent resource management, and strategic partnerships with local institutions. A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yinkah has demonstrated commitment to harnessing district assets for socio-economic growth.

Four Key Projects

Asunafo South Municipal District

Located in the Ahafo Region of Ghana, Asunafo South District is predominantly agrarian, with communities engaged in cocoa farming, food crop production, and small-scale trading. Despite its resource potential, the district has faced persistent infrastructure gaps and limited access to public services. The recent leadership transition is geared toward accelerating inclusive development and bridging service delivery challenges.

Feeder Road Rehabilitation Programme

○    Scope: Rehabilitation of 42km of rural roads linking farming communities to market centers
○    Impact: Reduced post-harvest losses and improved mobility for health and education access
2.    District Agro-Industrial Hub Initiative

○    Purpose: Establishing agro-processing centers for cassava, palm oil, and cocoa
○    Impact: Job creation for youth and value addition to agricultural produce
3.    Sanitation and Clean Water Expansion

○    Objective: Construction of boreholes and mechanized water systems across 17 underserved communities
○    Outcome: Improved access to potable water and reduction in waterborne diseases
4.    School Infrastructure Upgrade Project

○    Focus: Renovation of 12 basic schools and distribution of teaching and learning materials
○    Effect: Boosted school attendance, teacher motivation, and student performance
